Ready to let go of limitation and live joyfully?

I cried… a happy cry!

This is what I got to see on our final night in Mexico last week.  And nope, the beauty of this sunset isn’t what made me cry.

Are you acknowledging the magic moments all around you?

As I write this, the fire place is flamey, the snow is deep outside, and the chili for tonight’s dinner party is cooking.

Quite the weather contrast from last week (90+ degrees) while co-facilitating a retreat in Mexico with 14 fabulous, courageous people.  There were many amazing moments on our adventure to Move & ReJuve; shooting stars, bio phosphorescent beaches, breakthroughs, JOY embodied, galloping on horseback, laughter, sweet connection, sunsets, dancing, discovery, bonfires, tears, healing, releasing, creating and lots and lots of fun.

The first day I woke up early for a sunrise beach walk.  With my mind still racing, not yet unplugged and thinking about all our guests arriving the next day I was a bit distracted, and fast paced. And when Isa, a local, excitedly approached me and invited me to follow him up the beach I was hesitant, guarded and a wee bit suspect.  For about 3.6 seconds all stranger danger scenarios and “what ifs” flashed through my mind.  My trusty awareness pushed all that aside and I said- “sure!”.

“Playing it safe is the riskiest choice we can ever make.”

– Sarah Ban Breathnach.

As far as risky adventures go, I’ve already bungee jumped, sky dived, ate street food in China, been vulnerable while loving fully, fell into a crevice skiing, scuba dived with sharks and survived many Irish Happy Hours at college… so perhaps I was ready for whatever this 17 year old wanted to show me.

Less than a five minute walk down the beach brought me to an experience that had me in awe and speechless. I sat and watched and let the tears stream down my face knowing that I was witnessing something special, beautiful and magnificent.  A sea turtle returned to the beach where she was hatched to lay her eggs, bury them and hope that what she created would make it out into the world.

Here you go, the video where you get to meet sweet sea turtle.

There are a lot of predators that keep sea turtles from surviving.  Most of their eggs are destroyed quickly.  The ones that hatch and make it to the ocean face a lot of dangers.

What I know for sure is that our biggest predator is our own hesitation and fear.  Mostly, we don’t have to worry about our dreams, ideas, products and businesses being eaten by wild dogs, seagulls and sharks (I hope).  As you saw Sweet Momma Sea Turtle lay and bury her eggs… it didn’t look totally easy.  She was working hard.  She took breaks and rested.  She continued.  She didn’t have the thought “Why bother, these eggs probably won’t hatch and if they do they won’t survive.”   She went for it!

  • What if we stopped waiting and started creating?!!
  • If you were unstoppable, what would you bring into the world?
  • What idea or adventure are you ready to bring into this reality?

Well, I say we hatch those ideas and dreams and let the world see even more of your magnificence!!

We hope you’ll join us, we have some great stuff happening in the next few weeks.
